About Us... 

We are women supporting other women in recovery in Traverse City, Michigan.

Founded by Cori Smoker and Renee Hunt, CR Branches of Hope is a women-led sober living home created by women in recovery who are passionate about helping other women rebuild their lives in Traverse City and the surrounding Northern Michigan area. Too many women complete treatment and return to environments that make recovery harder. Without safe housing and consistent structure, the risk of relapse increases.

At CR Branches of Hope, we believe recovery is about more than just staying sober — it is about restoring hope, rebuilding confidence, and creating a strong foundation for the future. We understand the challenges of early recovery because we have lived them, and we believe no woman should have to walk this journey alone. Through community support, structure, and compassion, we empower women to grow stronger, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with purpose.

Our mission is to provide safe, structured, substance-free housing where women can rebuild the parts of life addiction disrupted. Within a supportive sober living environment, residents are encouraged to return to work in the Traverse City community, establish financial stability, obtain identification and essential documents, strengthen their roles as parents, and relearn daily routines that support long-term independence.

CR Branches of Hope is a women’s sober living residence in Traverse City, not a treatment facility or halfway house. We focus on accountability, stability, and personal responsibility, offering a foundation where women can move forward with confidence and begin contributing positively to their families and the Northern Michigan community.
